This is especially useful for those with limited bedroom space, as a twin XL is much narrower and thus provides more length without taking up more space. However, this narrow width also means that there is less room to stretch out, making it a less common choice for adults. The most common use of twin XL mattresses for adults is for couples with different mattress preferences, in which case they can purchase two twin XL mattresses and combine them to create a twin XL king bed with customized sides. Twin XL mattress is also a popular choice when selecting a split king adjustable bed, particularly with dual adjustments so that each sleeper can adjust their side without disturbing the other.
